Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated entry level position that will train to become an Electronic Repair Technician within a 12-month time frame. This program will undertake a structured training program, to gain the required skills and knowledge to complete the service and repair of Industrial Controls, (i.e. industrial grade PCBs, timers, counters, PLCs, drives, monitors and temperature & process controls.). You will observe and learn how to use the system for recording and communication purposes and processing work orders. You will learn how to use a range of test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, function generator) and test fixtures. Learn how to read, interpret and follow electrical wiring diagrams to facilitate fault analysis and product repair.

§  As an Apprentice Technician, you will be expected to learn each task throughout the production life cycle and be able to demonstrate your full understanding of each process. All training will be recorded on to the Management Reporting System (MRS) as confirmation.

§  Observe, learn and understand a wide range of engineering skills while under the instruction of skilled technical staff

§  To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training progresses by working independently or with a team

  • Learning and understanding the importance of Health & Safety within the workshop
  • To learn how to maintain the workshop equipment to a high standard of repair
  • To maintain and ensure good housekeeping of the workplace and test areas

·       Successfully show the ability to solder dip/surface mount components, troubleshooting components, and the ability to take apart and put industrial equipment back to normal functioning order.
