About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? As a Case Management Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in assessing, supervising, and guiding children who have been charged with a crime or are demonstrating pre-delinquent behaviors. In this role, you will manage a team of Juvenile Development Specialists and work directly with youth and their families, using a strength-based approach to help them navigate their challenges and build a brighter future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Juvenile Development Specialists and lead daily problem-solving and youth assessment groups.
- Gather information, complete case forms and reports, and prepare Social History and Youth Assessment Reports.
- Manage a caseload of 15-20 youth, providing personalized support and guidance.

Qualifications:
- BA, BS, or BSW in social work or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) preferred but not required in Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adolescents, preferably in a juvenile justice or similar setting.
- Satisfactory DHS Central Registry Clearance and State Police Record Check, negative TB test, satisfactory physical exam, satisfactory pre-employment, and random drug screening.
- Valid unrestricted Michigan driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must meet all employment eligibility and agency hiring requirements at the time of hire.
Our Approach
Spectrum Juvenile Justice Services utilizes the Forward Focused Treatment Model©, the first evidence-based clinical treatment program developed for adolescents with serious offending behaviors. Our cognitive-behavioral treatment model is based on current research in adolescent brain development and juvenile justice treatment, including trauma-focused assessment and treatment. Using a multimodal and multi-pronged approach, we guide treatment with a developmentally informed conceptualization of each youth’s risks and needs.
