The Office of Technology and Innovation in Pinellas County is looking for an eager, innovative, highly technical and capable individual to help us take our Cityworks implementation to the next level by playing a key role in the technical administration and support of the Cityworks asset management (AMS) software suite and all subcomponents. This individual will also be responsible for all enhancements and continued improvements of the existing Cityworks system, the application stack and all technical components needed to manage and host the system. Additionally, the Sr. Application and System Support Analyst will work closely with Cityworks users and stakeholders to define goals, establish projects and business processes.

Position Specific Qualifications
Experience - technical and professional experience in information technology in the following areas:
- High level of proficiency in both enterprise application and system administration to include configuring software and hardware., monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring security and efficiency of system infrastructure.
- Proficient in the use of enterprise SQL, Database Management Systems, data analysis and Database/SQL problem-solving.
- 1 year of professional team leadership or supervision.
Education – degree in information technology, computer science, computer technology, or related field.
- 7 years of experience as described above.
- Associate degree as described above and 5 years of experience as described above; or
- Bachelor’s degree as described above and 3 years of experience as described above; or
- Master’s degree as described above and 1 year of experience as described above.
Additional Requirements
- Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Cityworks administration and usage.
- Knowledge of asset management best practices and theory.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS and the ESRI software suite.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Demonstrate knowledge of ETL tools (SSIS) and data warehousing
- Experience with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) or other ELT/Queue technologies
- Knowledge of county or local government operations and services.
- Experience in the IT industry with documentation, administration and developing comprehensive test plans.
Illustrative Tasks
- Maintaining and improvement of existing Cityworks system.
- Implement, configure, and maintain Cityworks AMS with emphases on asset management for client organizations.
- Meet with end-users to gather system requirements, analyze business rules, and make recommendations for technical solutions.
- Augment database stored procedures, triggers and views, to meet client needs.
- Develop ETL processes to migrate data between disconnected systems.
- Provide data analysis services, system administration, and technical support for new and existing clients.
- Use appropriate software development methodologies in planning and implementing work products, including work with web development, IIS, SQL Server and ArcGIS for server.
- Prepare technical documentation of project requirements, procedures, execution and implementation plans.
- Build custom reports using SQL, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports.
- Lead internal and client-facing technical training sessions.
- Work independently, or as part of a team, to perform technical activities consistent with project plans within project scope and budget.
- Managing system upgrades and technology solutions related to the asset management program.
- Assess customer's existing GIS/Cityworks environments and recommend areas for improvements in application technology, system performance, and software migration plans.
- Present system design information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience installing and configuring Cityworks Server software.
- Experience configuring Cityworks core/add-ons/modules: AMS, PLL, Storeroom.
