Position Summary:  As our Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring product build is done in an efficient manner that meets customers’ quality expectations.  

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must have In-depth knowledge of highly technical engineering principles and processes
  • Must know how to apply Engineering knowledge and related codes and standards in analyzing and developing effective assembly systems, generating specifications, and delivering technical presentations to clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Must be able to lead and train cross-functional teams
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Are You Our Next ACE?

  • Lead & Conduct Process and Workmanship trainings (i.e. IPC-620, J-STD, NASA, GD&T) as required
  • Operate as the lead internal and external customer technical interface - aggregate issues between production, engineering and quality and provide technical feedback accordingly
  • Communicating Customer technical requirements (i.e., workmanship specifications) throughout the organization
  • Ensure production processes properly define the requirements to support overall product conformity 
  • Actively participate in, manage, and oversee the efficient creation/interpretation of inspection programs
  • Lead and participate in the Root Cause/Corrective Action process to ensure that Root Causes are addressed and issue recurrence is eliminated
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of engineering designs, mechanical data sheets, code calculations, and design specifications
  • Define the department’s engineering activity layout and design of workflow and tooling requirements
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) programming and operation, vision systems (e.g., Keyence), and manual metrology tools (micrometers, height gauges)
  • Lead internal audits per AS9100 and QMS
  • Represent the Quality Department for Customer CAR and/or Customer audits
  • Manage and oversee Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and perform on-site supplier audits to ensure compliance with finishing and raw material specifications
  • Lead APQP activities, including the development of PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plans to mitigate risk during new product introduction (NPI)
  • Review test data for accuracy and compliance to Customer requirements
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) creation and review (Forms 1, 2 & 3), IAW AS9102 requirements
  • Understanding of ITAR, CUI and other regulated requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
