Seeking English/Journalism teacher for the 2023/2024 school year. The successful candidate will teach content and skills in language arts, literature, composition, reading, and journalism to middle school students while utilizing curriculum designated by the state of Indiana.  

• Able to adapt language arts material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments and lesson plans that guide and challenge students.  
• Able to encourage students to think independently and to express original ideas.  Evaluates academic and social growth of students.
• Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress. Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve learning, health and attitude problems.
• Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities
