Job Description:

Certified Medical Assistant – Radiation Oncology

Primary Location: Orange City, FL

Coverage Support: Oviedo, FL (As needed)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our specialized Radiation Oncology team. This role is based in our Orange City location, which serves as a primary hub for our advanced radiation services. You will play a critical role in the patient treatment journey, providing clinical and administrative support to our oncology patients and providers.

This position is primarily based in our Orange City office, it will include occasional travel to our Oviedo location as coverage needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Radiation Clinical Support: Prepare patients for radiation treatments, assist with clinical exams, and help manage side-effect documentation and support Radiation Oncology provider with Chart Prep.
  • Technical Documentation: Use Radiation-specific EMR systems to document treatment progress and clinical notes with high precision.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Assist with inbound clinical calls and provide backup support radiation schedulers for additional support.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) is required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years in a medical office (Radiation Oncology or Radiology experience highly preferred).
  • Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems; ability to cross-train in scheduling and front office coordination.
  • Travel: Ability to provide coverage at our Oviedo location as required.
