    Are you a nurturing, attentive educator who finds joy in working with infants? Little Scouts Preschool is seeking a dedicated Infant Teacher to provide high-quality, responsive care to our youngest learners.

    We are a well-established, high-quality early learning program that values strong relationships, thoughtful routines, and a calm, intentional approach to infant care.

     

    Description:

    The Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. This role requires someone who is attentive to individual needs, detail oriented, responsive in their caregiving, and committed to building strong relationships with both children and families.

    Professional Expectations:

    Schedule:
    Monday�Friday, variable rotating schedule, a combination of Open Shift (6:30 AM-3:00 PM) and Closing Shift (8:45AM-5:15 PM)

     

    Job Summary:

    • Provide responsive, relationship-based care to infants
    • Follow individual schedules for feeding, diapering, and sleep
    • Create a calm, engaging classroom environment that supports early development
    • Maintain accurate daily communication with families
    • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom
    • Collaborate with team members to maintain strong classroom routines and ratios
    • Follow all licensing (DCFS) and program policies
       

    Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 19 years old
    • Must meet DCFS qualifications for an Infant Teacher (CDA or ECE coursework/degree)
    • Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred
    • Current Infant/Child CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

       

    Working Conditions:

    This is an active role that includes lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally), sitting on the floor, and frequent movement throughout the day while caring for infants.
