04/03/2026 Additional Information: Show/Hide - In coordination with the Assistant Superintendent, facilitate the development and revision of the K-8 curriculum and coordinate the implementation of aligned assessments for subjects undergoing periodic review.
- Assist in evaluating, recommending, and procuring new instructional materials, supplies, and equipment to support curriculum goals.
- Facilitate a comprehensive new teacher induction and ongoing professional support programs, and monitor their effectiveness.
- Conduct a professional workshop for district Associates at the start of the academic year.
- Organize and facilitate professional development opportunities for all staff in partnership with the Assistant Superintendent.
- Manage the full scope of district substitute staffing, including application review, interviewing, hiring, dispute resolution, and annual training.
- Develop, write, and manage federal Title I and Title II grant applications and ensure timely completion of all associated reporting and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the implementation and resource management for specific K-8 curricular units, including Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Digital Citizenship, and the Child Protection Unit.
- Direct and coordinate the K-8 Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) program, working closely with the Director of Student Services.
- Attend building, department, and consortium meetings as directed by the Assistant Superintendent to ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment and communication.
- Ability to develop and coordinate programs for teachers, K-8.
- Perform other curriculum and instructional duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent.
- Required: Three to five years of experience as a school or district administrator.
- Required: Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration or related field.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative or Principal endorsement
- Successful completion of Illinois Teacher Evaluator Training
- ESL Endorsement Preferred

SUMMARY:
The Curriculum Coordinator will report to and work directly with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the ongoing development, assessment, and improvement of curriculum and instruction. This position is part-time and has a flexible schedule. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with education and experience.
