Job Description:

Illinois Central College's Corporate and Community Education department is looking for part-time facilitators to create and deliver courses for our Summer 2026 College for Kids program.

College for Kids exposes students from 4th-10th grade to a broad range of subject areas and offers a fun and challenging educational experience during the summer months. Classes will run for one week, two hours and four days per week, in June and July. Facilitators can choose to work one or more weeks during the four-week time frame.

The 2026 summer camp weeks are below.

  • Week 1: June 15-18
  • Week 2: June 22-25
  • Week 3: July 6-9
  • Week 4: July 13-16

This job will remain open till all positions are filled.

Compensation for the PT Facilitator- College for Kids is $30.00 an hour.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitators will prepare 8 hours of hands-on instruction for students each week of class.
  • Facilitators are asked to provide a description and complete lesson plans for their workshop and attend an orientation before the College for Kids sessions begin.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of experience working with elementary, junior high and/or high school students in a classroom setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified teacher.
