We are looking for a professional Materials Handler to join our warehousing department. This position offers tactical and administrative support to our valued multinational client, Sony®, by supporting one of their fast-paced Southern California service center warehouse facilities. In this role you would be in charge of tracking warehouse stock, planning inventory, documenting orders, and providing proper merchandise materials.

- 40 hours per week
- Mondays through Fridays, 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Sony Electronics Service Center at 1730 N First St San Jose CA 95112

POSITION DUTIES:
- Plan, stock, manage, and reconcile inventories of product and parts
- Resolve inventory variances and perform physical inventory wall-to-wall and cycle counts
- Facilitate materials and parts needed by Technicians to perform repair services
- Pack and ship products
- Assist with system data entry and administrative work when needed
- Follow-up and resolve shipping issues with freight carriers
- Speak to vendors and customers regarding delivery and pickup of products
- Understand workflow and daily production goals
- Assist in keeping work area clean and organized
- Identify and address safety hazards within the work area while participating in safety initiatives
- Refer all job injuries immediately to management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2-3 years of inventory management, material handling, and/or warehouse fulfillment center experience
- Related experience in shipping and receiving strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or SAP
- Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work flexible shifts/schedules and overtime as required
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to use process improvement tools and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Self-motivated; able to work autonomously and keep on task without direct supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift/pull weight up to 40lbs without assistance
- Occasional – balancing, talking, eye/hand/foot coordination, sitting
- Frequent – standing/walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling/lifting, grasping
- Must have the ability to climb ladders in compliance with OSHA standards
