Job Description

Avoq is seeking a Paid Media Fellow to support the Paid Media team.  The Fellow will develop skills in any or all of the constituent tasks: social media campaign planning & execution, developing & testing ad creative, ad operations, budgeting & media buying, general digital marketing, and advertising & website reporting.

This role can work out of either our Chicago, New York or Washington D.C. office.

  • You have more than a passing interest in how brands use social media to communicate.
  • You enjoy knowing what goes on behind the scenes of the best ad campaigns and has strong opinions about what wrong on some of the worst.
  • You’re eager to work on projects within a diverse set of industries including education, energy, public advocacy, tech, sports, healthcare, politics, non-profit sector, and start-up space. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Paid Media Fellow on the team, you will:

  • Develop strategy and tactics to address client public affairs needs through paid and organic social & digital media
  • Create, manage, and optimize social and digital media campaigns using Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/LinkedIn/Pinterest/Snapchat/Google advertising platforms.
  • Conduct keyword and demographic research to inform targeting strategies within contextual advertising campaigns.
  • Use analytics tools Google Analytics, Crimson Hexagon, Meltwater, and Simply Measured to create dashboards, reports, and other documents to update internal staff and clients as to campaign results.
  • Work with our team of in-house designers, developers and videographers to develop ads that compel people to take action.
  • The Fellow Program typically runs for 8-12 months with the possibility to extend beyond the initial timeframe. Trainees may be eligible for promotion depending on the quality of their work and department availability.
