Title: Customer Service Specialist

Job Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Job Summary: The Order Specialist will track orders entered through the system. They will monitor production schedules, communicate with production and shipping planner on deadlines, and work with sister plants placing order into their system.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Reviews product orders and verifies when material will be done.
- Collaborates with clients, suppliers, and delivery firms to discuss timelines and answer inquiries.
- Works with Scheduling to ensure orders are processed in time to meet customer needs.
- Communicates with departments on material outages and report to purchasing as needed.
- Identifies problems any issues with order processing and notifies the correct department to get it resolved.
- Work with Quality team to identify product defects; implements plans to resolve problems and order any material that needs reordering,
- Communicates with departments and customers when shipping delays occur.
- Maintains or assists with maintenance of inventories, orders supplies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience in production or knowledge of scheduling process required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Equipment Used:
This position will primarily use a computer to perform most work tasks.
