About your role:



This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties, including supporting the contractor on the design and installation of the electrical and instrumentation and verifying everything is installed per local and national codes. This position also provides status updates, job progress, positives on the project and items that may help future projects. The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Inspector assists the programmers in the commissioning process to ensure a smooth transition to the customer, all while keeping a good attitude and being willing to help wherever the team needs assistance to complete the project safely and on schedule.



Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities




  • Inspects both electrical and instrumentation systems being installed.

  • Ensures installations meet local, and national code requirements and work is installed per drawings and specifications.

  • Tracks daily completion percentages and quantities to ensure everything is on schedule.

  • Witnesses and documents megger testing, loop checks, function testing, and potential fails in testing.

  • Assists with startup/commissioning.

  • Provides detailed daily reports of work completed and pictures of the progress.

  • Reviews drawings, requests for information (RFIs), and field directives (FDs); generate action item lists.

  • Submits all documentation, including instrument data sheet, photos, and ITPW forms for project documentation and job books.

  • Ensures all employees have site-specific and client orientation.

  • Ensures that all employees operating equipment are certified.

  • Attends daily tailgate and safety meetings and reviews Job Safety analyses (JSAs).

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Company Hours



8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.



40-Hour Work Week



Monday through Friday, hours may vary with the workload.



Evenings/Weekends/OT



As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position.
