
HVAC Technician (Temporary)

Perform various skilled work in the operation, maintenance, diagnostic, repair, adjustment, and alteration of HVAC systems. Generally, the hiring rate is $27.64 to $34.55 per hour. View the full job description here ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following examples are illustrative and are not intended to be all-inclusive.)
• Diagnosis of HVAC equipment failures.
• Performs all HVAC equipment preventative maintenance.
• Performs repairs on HVAC equipment, including boilers, air handlers, DX systems, chillers, and numerous other types of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Installs HVAC and building automation systems and equipment.
• Installs ductwork, low voltage controls, gas piping, and ventilation systems.
• Responsible for rough-in and final trim of new systems.
• Performs building automation preventative maintenance.
• Responds to and investigates complaints of malfunctioning building comfort control equipment.
• Monitor building efficiencies to include indoor air quality and energy use.
• Respond to after-hours or emergency calls outside of regular scheduled or business hours.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by three (3) years of professional journey-level HVAC experience. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
