    Job Summary:

    The Freshman Class Advisor provides guidance, support, and leadership to the 9th Grade Class. The advisor coordinates class events, fosters student engagement, promotes positive school culture, and ensures that class activities align with district policies and educational goals.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Student Leadership Support
      • Guides class officers in planning meetings, agendas, and with decision-making.
      • Encourages leadership development and collaboration among students.
    • Event Planning and Oversight
      • Organizes and supervises class-related events (e.g., dances, fundraisers, prom, senior trips, graduation).
      • Coordinates logistics, venues, approvals, and finances for class activities.
    • Communication and Collaboration
      • Acts as a liaison between students, parents, faculty, and administration.
      • Communicates class plans, goals, and updates to stakeholders.
    • Financial Oversight
      • Assists with managing class funds, budgets, and fundraising efforts.
      • Ensures compliance with school and district financial procedures.
    • Student Support and Engagement
      • Fosters a positive and inclusive environment for all class members.
      • Addresses student concerns or conflicts related to class activities.
    • Record Keeping
      • Maintains accurate documentation of meetings, activities, finances, and student involvement.
      • Submits required reports to school administration as needed.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Ohio teaching credential or employment within the district.
    • Experience working with student organizations or event planning preferred.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and to multitask.

     

    Work Environment:

    • Work may extend beyond the regular school day for meetings, events, and supervision.
    • Must be able to attend after-school and weekend activities occasionally.
