Description

Community First National Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Closer to join our LPO Mortgage Division. This role is responsible for reviewing closing documentation, ensuring data integrity, preparing accurate closing figures, and coordinating the timely funding and disbursement of mortgage loans. Requirements

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review title commitments, lock confirmations, approval sheets, and loan documents for accuracy and compliance in accordance with our Quality Assurance checklist
  • Ensure all critical dates within pipeline are met, including but not limited to closing dates and lock expiration dates
  • Balance fees and ensure fee compliance
  • Ensure Accuracy of tax/insurance information and data entry
  • Clear closing conditions
  • Prepare closing figures and review/approve Closing Disclosures from title companies to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct timely review of closed loan packages to verify accuracy, completeness, and readiness for funding.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and act as a liaison across departments to resolve issues and support loan closings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management- including but not limited to receiving packages, shipping Notes and final docs
  • Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.

  • The ability to make sound decisions. This may include making on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the Bank’s exposure to loss or fraud and the ability to think through and rationalize decisions.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • 1+ year of experience in the mortgage industry (required).
  • Experience with Encompass Loan Origination System (preferred).
