Shifts: 8 hour shifts; Day shifts; Monday through Friday with holiday rotation.
The Health Unit Assistant (HUA) provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations within a healthcare unit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The HUA serves as a central point of contact for staff, patients, families and other departments, assisting with administrative functions, patient flow and assisting with unit activities.

Our staff utilize a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team approach to provide high quality, compassionate care to complex neurological, medical and surgical patients, that can include, but not limited to acute stroke, chronic neurological illnesses, neurosurgery, general medical and surgical patients.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Exceptional Customer Service skills
- Acquires and maintains skills necessary for role
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Previous clerical, customer service or other experience in a healthcare setting.
* Must be available the first week of employment for HUC orientations that takes place Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM*
