About the Role

Join a mission-focused team supporting Space Delta 10, where you will help shape U.S. Space Force doctrine and advance space warfighting capabilities. This role combines space operations expertise, analytical research, and technical writing to develop doctrine that supports strategic competition and operational readiness.

Position Overview

The Space Doctrine Developer supports the development and maintenance of Space Force doctrine, ensuring it is operationally relevant, technically accurate, and aligned with emerging mission needs. This role translates complex space operations into clear, structured doctrine and supports coordination across Service, Joint, and allied partners.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of experience in military operations, space operations, or operational planning
  • Experience in one or more space mission areas (e.g., SATCOM, ISR, missile warning, PNT, space control)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience developing reports, plans, or briefings
  • Familiarity with military staffing or planning processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Space Force or Joint space operations
  • Experience with doctrine, policy, or concept development
  • Familiarity with OPORDs, CONOPS, or operational planning
  • Experience with Joint doctrine or Combatant Command environments

Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Space Force doctrine publications (capstone, keystone, operational)
  • Translate space system capabilities and mission execution into doctrine and guidance
  • Conduct research on space operations, threats, and emerging concepts
  • Review and support Joint and allied doctrine, ensuring Space Force representation
  • Manage and adjudicate inputs using task management and staffing systems
  • Coordinate across stakeholders and support working groups and doctrine development efforts
  • Develop written products including briefings, white papers, and doctrine inputs
  • Integrate insights from wargames, exercises, and operations into doctrine
