Frank I Brown Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our Functional Life Skills program serving students in grades K�4 with diverse academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This position supports students across both special education and inclusive general education settings.

Responsibilities Include:
* Providing direct instruction in special education and general education environments.
* Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
* Delivering instruction in Functional Life Skills, including daily living, communication, self-regulation, and social skills.
* Implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, including discrete trial training and data-driven decision-making.
* Supporting students at varying developmental levels and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary team members.

Requirements: 

Maine 282 certification as well as
* Experience in inclusive practices within general education settings.
* Training in behavior intervention planning and crisis prevention strategies.
* Experience supervising or supporting educational technicians.
