Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for making minor slot machine repair, assisting with machine moves and installs, assisting video attendants with jackpot payouts and hopper fills, resolving minor customer complaints and providing quality customer service on the casino gaming floor. In all interactions, the position is responsible for providing STAR Experience to guests and fellow team members a first priority. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides general and preventive maintenance of slot machines during their assigned shift.

·        Locate and fix minor to intermediate problems in slot machines and related equipment.

·        Responds to repair calls on the gaming floor.

·        Replace TI/TO paper in slot machines throughout the gaming floor.

·        Repairs and cleans slot machine parts and equipment.

·        Able to operate both hand tools and power tools.

·        Retrieve lost bills from the bill acceptor.

Assists with slot machine installs, moves and conversions throughout the casino gaming floor.

·        Assists with set up and installation of new slot machines.

·        Assists with the relocation of slot machines on the casino gaming floor as necessary.

·        Assists with slot machine conversions on the casino gaming floor.

·        Assists Vendors with preventative maintenance or other issues that may arise with participation/leased games.

Read and run reports from the slot accounting system.

·        Locates system communication problems through the use of a computer with various screens, functions and reports.

·        Verify and resolve slot machine and ticket in/ticket out information.

Assists video attendants in performing their assigned duties and tasks. In Bagley the slot technician will perform all the jobs of the video attendant.

·        Process and pay jackpots.

·        Verify jackpot forms for completeness and accuracy against slot machine information.

·        Override jackpot discrepancies after verification and correction.

Performs general custodial services to clean and maintain slot machines and surrounding gaming areas to provide a sanitary environment for guests and associates of Shooting Star.

·      Cleans, polishes, and sanitizes exterior of all slot machines.

·      Cleans areas between slot machines to include disposal of empty bottles, glasses or any other discarded items.

·      Empties ash trays as necessary.

·      Straightens slot stools when not in use, keeping slot banks looking neat and orderly.

Prepare and complete required paperwork for some slot department functions.

·        Process diagnostics report for override jackpot tickets.

·        Review and sign off on anything the technician helped with on the New Install or conversion checklist.

Provide prompt and courteous customer care throughout the casino.

·        Listens and responds to guest concerns.

·        Describe game features and assist guest by explaining game or other pertinent information.

·        Resolve minor guest disputes.

·        Refer guests to appropriate department or authority for issue resolution.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

·       Performs MOD duties as assigned.

Perform all duties and tasks assigned by slot shift supervisor or management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or GED with at least one high school course in electronics or computers / or a minimum of a high school diploma and two years’ experience working with electronic devices, computers, or as a slot video attendant.  

Certificates, Licenses & Designations

Gaming license required.

·        Ability to stand; walk for long periods of time, bend and stoop.

·        Ability to lift/move 100 pounds on a regular basis.

·        Ability to follow procedures and give attention to detail.

·        Ability to reach with hands and arms.

·        Ability to talk and hear clearly.

·        Ability to use fingers and hands to grasp, feel, control and operate test equipment and work-related objects.
