Job Description

As MISO’s Engineer I – Interconnection Integration, you will perform technical transmission studies and serve as a subject matter expert when coordinating with interconnection customers and transmission owners. In this role, you may also lead assigned generator interconnection projects and transmission service requests within specific regions of the MISO footprint.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform long-term transmission planning studies including power flow, transfer analysis, and stability analysis
  • Analyze transmission system reliability related to generator interconnection requests and long-term transmission service requests
  • Manage and perform system impact studies within the MISO generator interconnection queue
  • Review Transmission Owner project proposals and provide technical recommendations
  • Present study findings and recommendations to stakeholder groups and industry partners

    The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $71,000-$96,000 USD annually.  Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
