Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on equipment, machinery and facilities to endure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting repairs and performing preventive maintenance to support operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

Routine Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Replace worn and defective parts and components.
  • Preform scheduled servicing on HVAC systems, electrical systems, machinery preventive maintenance, and other building systems.
  • Experience in electrical metering tools.
  • Experience in tool and die repair.

 

Emergency Repairs:

  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes.
  • implement effective repairs to restore equipment and facilities to operational status.

 

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

 

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document maintenance work performed, including repairs and parts used.
  • Report and irregularities or safety concerns.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining schedules and logs.

 

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other maintenance team members, production staff, and management.
  • Provide support during facility upgrades or new installations.

 

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with electrical metering tools and experience in tool and die repair.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for teamwork.

 

The base salary range for this full-time position is $50,000 - $56,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role.
