Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant with at least three years of full-cycle accounting and finance experience, preferably in the construction industry. This role involves working closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate documentation of financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and monitor for discrepancies.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Support year-end audits and tax preparation for external auditors.
- Assist with federal and state tax filings as needed.
- Contribute to Work-in-Progress (WIP) calculations.
- Handle special assignments as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information to protect company operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
- Minimum of three years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is beneficial.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Quickbooks and Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.
