Job Description

0.6 FTE (24 hrs/wk); Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 7:00-3:30pm or 9:30am - 6:00pm shift. This role also participates in the weekend and business closure day coverage pool. Weekend coverage is up to one Saturday per month from 8:00am-12:30pm. This a part-time, benefit eligible Therapies Support position that will work with a dedicated team of pediatric rehabilitation professionals. This position is based at the newly remodeled Maple Grove Clinic location (address: 9550 Upland Lane North, Maple Grove, MN 55369).

This position exists to provide support to the provision of therapy services before, during, and after the appointment through maintenance of the environment of care, administrative support, and patient care assistance.

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $21.00/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Core Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensures care of the environment within rehabilitation therapies patient care areas.

  • Disinfects patient care areas and equipment per infection prevention policy and standards.
  • Ensures all equipment, supplies and toys in rehabilitation therapies’ patient care areas are cleaned and stored per infection prevention and organization safety standards.
  • Identifies safety and infection control hazards/issues and takes appropriate action.
  • Assists in the maintenance, adjustment and safe operation of therapy equipment.
  • Monitors and documents environment of care data.
  • Monitors and maintains par level of necessary therapy supplies including linens.

Provides administrative support as needed.

  • Provides admin support and ensure timely processing for department level medical record process and compliance; Including monitoring and processing of electronic EHR work queues that includes but is not limited to: obtaining plan of care signatures and , certification tracking,.
  • Completes all required tracking logs and data entry as indicated by department work flow.
  • Projects requests including mailing/filing/faxing/electronic document creation.
  • Provides supervision to therapy volunteers

Assists with patient treatment at the direction of the therapist or therapist assistant.

  • Positions, transfers, and sets-up of specialty equipment.
  • Sets up treatment space and therapy materials.
  • Takes photos or video during treatment session.

Qualifications:

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using of Microsoft office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • American Heart Association BLS for HealthCare workers or obtained within 90 days of hire

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare environment
  • Advanced training/ education
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a highly dynamic team environment
