The Role
We’re looking for a Solutions Specialist II to design and implement MES and Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) solutions in complex manufacturing environments.
You’ll work hands-on across the full project lifecycle—from early client engagement and requirements definition to system configuration, deployment, and optimization. This is a client-facing role where you’ll collaborate with operators, engineers, and leadership to solve real production challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Lead client discovery sessions focused on MES and APS requirements
- Design and document system architectures and functional specifications
- Configure and develop AVEVA/Wonderware MES solutions (Performance, Operations, Quality) and integrate with APS systems
- Develop SQL-based reporting, analytics, and production insights
- Support full lifecycle delivery: build, test, Go Live, and post-deployment support
- Integrate MES with ERP (e.g., SAP), SCADA, and plant-floor systems
- Contribute to solution design, estimates, and technical proposals
- Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders
What You Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- Bilingual: English & French
- 4–7 years of MES experience (AVEVA/Wonderware strongly preferred)
- Experience working with or integrating APS / production scheduling systems
- Strong SQL skills for reporting and data analysis
- Experience with Windows Server environments
- 2+ years with development tools (.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
- Experience connecting SCADA/HMI and plant-floor data sources
- Background in requirements gathering and technical documentation
Preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and manufacturing integrations
- Exposure to PLCs, DCS, or industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau
- OSIsoft PI experience
- P.Eng. eligibility (ON or QC)
Who You Are
- A hands-on problem solver with strong client-facing skills
- Comfortable leading technical workstreams and collaborating across teams
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
- Excited by solving real-world manufacturing challenges
- Open to travel (~30%) to client sites
