Solutions Specialist II (MES / APS)

Hybrid – Ontario or Quebec, Canada

About CimSoft

CimSoft helps manufacturers run smarter, faster, and more efficiently through advanced digital solutions. We specialize in MES, APS, industrial automation, and data integration—delivering real-time visibility and measurable performance improvements across operations.

Our team partners closely with clients from discovery through deployment and beyond, delivering scalable solutions that drive long-term value.

The Role

We’re looking for a Solutions Specialist II to design and implement MES and Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) solutions in complex manufacturing environments.

You’ll work hands-on across the full project lifecycle—from early client engagement and requirements definition to system configuration, deployment, and optimization. This is a client-facing role where you’ll collaborate with operators, engineers, and leadership to solve real production challenges.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead client discovery sessions focused on MES and APS requirements
  • Design and document system architectures and functional specifications
  • Configure and develop AVEVA/Wonderware MES solutions (Performance, Operations, Quality) and integrate with APS systems
  • Develop SQL-based reporting, analytics, and production insights
  • Support full lifecycle delivery: build, test, Go Live, and post-deployment support
  • Integrate MES with ERP (e.g., SAP), SCADA, and plant-floor systems
  • Contribute to solution design, estimates, and technical proposals
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual: English & French
  • 4–7 years of MES experience (AVEVA/Wonderware strongly preferred)
  • Experience working with or integrating APS / production scheduling systems
  • Strong SQL skills for reporting and data analysis
  • Experience with Windows Server environments
  • 2+ years with development tools (.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
  • Experience connecting SCADA/HMI and plant-floor data sources
  • Background in requirements gathering and technical documentation

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and manufacturing integrations
  • Exposure to PLCs, DCS, or industrial automation systems
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau
  • OSIsoft PI experience
  • P.Eng. eligibility (ON or QC)

Who You Are

  • A hands-on problem solver with strong client-facing skills
  • Comfortable leading technical workstreams and collaborating across teams
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
  • Excited by solving real-world manufacturing challenges
  • Open to travel (~30%) to client sites
