Position Summary

The primary function of the Quality Technician is to provide tactical support to the Quality department for the intermediate to complex products (as assigned).

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete First Article Inspections (FAI)

  • Complete Request for Engineering Approval Inspections (REA)

  • Complete non-conformance handling

  • Complete material inspections

  • Complete new line setup validation

  • Perform basic data analysis to detect and track nonconformances

  • Constant interface with Quality Engineers to resolve issues

  • Operate advanced inspection and Test Equipment

  • Responsible for staying in compliance with EEO, ADA and all other applicable governmental requirements the company is required to be in compliance with. 

  • All staff is required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety by adhering to established safety policies and procedures, to not willfully place at risk the health or safety of any individual and to wear personal protective equipment as specified in work instructions.

  • Performs all other duties as required, requested or needed.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Typically, a High School Diploma (

    or equivalent) and 3+ years of experience

    in assembly and test or

    2+ years of experience in Quality

    Inspection.

  • May be required to maintain

    security clearance

 

Other:

  • Must have excellent communication skills - written and verbal.

  • Must have excellent understanding in root cause analysis and the ability to lead teams in the use of the data.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ERP systems, and other Quality assurance tools.

  • Ability to lift up to forty pounds

 

Work Environment:

  • Temperature controlled environment

  • When on the production floor will be exposed to moderate noise from assembly activities

Typically, a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years experience in assembly and test or 2+ years experience in Quality Inspection.

May be required to maintain security clearance
