NeoGenomics is looking for a Anatomic Pathology Quality Specialist Technologist for our lab in Ramsey, NJ who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (subject to change based on business needs)

Position Summary:
The Quality Specialist Technologist Anatomic Pathology I (AP-QST I) works under minimal supervision and demonstrates proficiency of core responsibilities performed in a moderate and high complexity testing Anatomic Pathology laboratory and performs duties as assigned. This is the advanced level for the Technologist job category responsible for assisting the department site supervisor/managers, who are ultimately responsible for the execution of quality imperatives. The AP-QST I assists with the implementation of key priorities and supporting quality requirements and initiatives in department operations set by the Anatomic Pathology Quality Manager and/or the Director of Anatomic Pathology.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in core responsibilities of a Histotechnologist (HTL) and performs duties as assigned
  • Attend the Quality Monthly Meeting and any other quality meetings as required.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Quality Management Program of the department
  • Ensure that all site-specific department employees are assigned to the correct QMS job codes for correct assignment of departmental Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • The AP-QST I is the point of contact and coordinates/assists employees with the navigation of the MasterControl and MediaLab Document control modules
  • Perform all AP Quality onboarding function
  • Assist in preparation of Monthly Metrics and DIVE slides for Quality Review Board meetings for managers
  • Support the department managers and QSTs in executing the identification, investigation, and correction of nonconforming events (CAPA, Issue Reviews (IR), Customer Complaints, Planned Deviations, or other nonconforming events). The AP-QST is the primary resource to assist department management, QST, and/or department staff with navigating the Issue Review and CAPA modules in MasterControl, as well as assisting department staff with training on the processes and various ways of identifying IRs
  • Ensure all audit findings are closed out with completeness of appropriate documentation
  • Assist operational management in maintaining an inspection-ready laboratory and department
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution - OR -Associate of Science in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution - OR -Equivalent education of 60 semester hours with 24 semester hours in biological and chemical science courses
  • 2 years or more of Histology equivalent experience (high complexity testing) preferred
  • Advanced understanding of general laboratory techniques with emphasis on department specific techniques
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Nationally: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP)
