Overview
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The YMCA Line Dancing Instructor position will lead engaging, easy-to-follow, high-energy dance classes for diverse skill levels and ages. Responsibilities include developing routines, ensuring participant safety, and building community. Instructors need prior dance experience, strong communication skills, and a Nationally accredited Group Exercise certification. This position is for our Southeast & Armed Services YMCA, 1-2 times per week, mid-day hours. Ability to sub at Briargate, Downtown and First and Main a plus. Must be able to teach to a wide variety of levels, from beginner to intermediate. Exceptional customer service and ability to develop community a must.

Responsibilities
- Class Leadership: Teach choreographed line dancing, including classic and modern routines.
- Member Engagement: Create a positive, inclusive, and fun environment for participants of all skill levels.
- Safety and Technique: Ensure proper technique and physical safety for all participants.
- Program Development: Plan class structures, select music, and provide clear cueing
- Community Building: Build relationships with members, fostering a sense of belonging.
