Position Overview:
Fennville Community Recreation is seeking a passionate and certified Zumba Instructor to lead
dynamic, music driven fitness classes. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm, positivity, and the
ability to create a fun, motivating environment that encourages participants to move, enjoy
themselves, and stay active.
Qualifications
• Lead group Zumba Current
Zumba Instructor certification
from a recognized program
(required)
• Experience teaching Zumba
classes preferred
• Strong rhythm, musicality, and
ability to lead group movement
• Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage
participants of all fitness levels
• CPR/First Aid certification
(preferred or willingness to
obtain)
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead group Zumba classes for
participants of varying experience
levels
• Choreograph and/or follow structured
Zumba routines set to music
• Provide clear instruction, cues, and
modifications as needed
• Ensure proper form, alignment, and
technique to prevent injury
• Create a positive, inclusive, and
encouraging class environment
• Communicate effectively with
participants and program staff
• Arrive prepared and on time for
scheduled classes
• Maintain awareness of equipment
and space usage within school
facilities

Preferred Skills:
• Experience teaching group fitness in community or recreational settings
• Ability to adapt choreography for mixed-ability participants
• Background in dance, fitness, or related disciplines
