    Teachers of English Language Arts � Grades 6-8

    Requirements:

    • Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of English or Subject Matter Specialization � English Language Arts Grades 5-8)
    • Knowledge/Experience working with anthology and novel-based instruction;
    • Proficient at modeling/teaching/assessing written expression;
    • Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards for ELA;
    • Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for language arts (ie: NJSLA)
    • Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction
    • Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching � a plus
    • Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
    • Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members
    • Bilingual (a plus)

     

    Effective:   2026-2027 School Year

     

    Salary:   

    • As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
    • Minimum $67,968 - maximum $99,181

     

    Benefits: 

    In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: 
    including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off.   Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
