F&B- Cook I



General Position Summary:



Responsible for assisting chef(s) and cooks in preparation of salad, main dishes, snack trays and other foods.



Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:




  • Good personal communications skills

  • Ensures temperatures of all foods, salads and soups are properly maintained.

  • Keeps clean, sanitary and organized work areas and kitchen equipment.

  • Excellent customer relations skills.



Secondary Functions:




  • Assists other employees when needed.

  • Other tasks deemed necessary by supervisor.

  • Completes cash transactions when cook or cashier are not available.



Specific Job Skills:




  • Good verbal and written skills

  • Ability to handle difficult and/or stressful situations.

  • Ability to follow instructions,

  • Knowledge of health standards and proper cooking and food storage temperatures

  • Able to solve problems quickly

  • Knowledge in use of kitchen equipment

  • Desire to learn new tasks and assume new tasks.
