Job Description

Role Summary

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining our standards of excellence.

Job Details

  • Position Type: Hourly, Full Time

  • Work Hours: 3rd Shift | Monday – Friday | 11:00pm – 7:00am

  • Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00/hour, depending on experience Plus, $2.00/hour shift premium

  • Work Location: MC (905 S Jackson St, Mount Carroll, IL 61053)

  • Reports To: Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines to produce components according to specifications

  • Ensure all items meet our strict quality control requirements

  • Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and make necessary adjustments

  • Interpret blueprints and use basic measuring instruments

  • Complete all necessary documents accurately and thoroughly

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area in accordance with 5S standards

  • Adhere strictly to safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to follow and interpret verbal and written work instructions

  • Ability to take initiative, demonstrating the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion without supervision

  • Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with team members and internal customers

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

  • Proficiency in basic computer and mathematical skills.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous industrial manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated steady work history with minimal employment gaps

  • History of reliable attendance record and punctuality - essential to support production timelines and team operations.
