Job Description

  • We are seeking a Weekend Maintenance Supervisor, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 11 am to 11 pm

  • Coordination of utilities.

  • Support project launch strategy.

  • Support and maintain project time line.

  • Provide support for all pre-production builds requiring components and/or services from the manufacturing site.

  • Provide preventative maintenance for facilities and production equipment.

  • Review and provide input on new equipment.

  • Support schedule mold changes as required by production.

  • Support cost savings programs for the manufacturing site.

  • Work approved sub-contracted vendors.

  • Upkeep of building, grounds, and production equipment.

  • Coordinate training and skill improvements within the skilled trades.

  • Coordinate apprenticeship education and training.

  • Have daily safety contact with employees.

  • Attend required environment, health and safety training with employees.

  • Report to maintenance safety issues and follow-up completion.

  • Conduct effective, timely accident investigations and initiate corrective action.

  • Train and encourage employees to follow safe work practices.

  • Provide effective Safety Talks with a goal of 100% participation.

  • Encourage employees to be involved in the safety process.

  • Support the Return-To-Work program and identify jobs for employees in the program.

  • Enforce rules and procedures consistently.

  • Strive for safe production.

  • Supports quality, environmental and 5S programs.

  • Lead by Example.

Deliverables:

  • Timely completion and implementation of projects.

  • Achieve goals and objectives relating to cost and timing.

  • Achieve project expectation and requirements for all elements of PPAP, QS9000 and other elements relating to product launch.

  • Overall housekeeping of maintenance and production areas.

  • Efficient supply and distribution of utilities including water, steam, electricity, natural gas, compressed air and waste disposal.

Qualifications - External

Qualifications:  

  • An Associate’s degree is required with mechanical or electrical technology preferred.

  • Five or more years of related experience including supervisor in the maintenance area.

  • Must be open and available to work any shift.
