This is a 1.0 FTE position as a Language Arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Tecumseh Junior High school.   The start date for this position is August 4, 2026.  Applicants must be licensed from the State of Indiana in Language Arts covering grades 7-8. Consideration will be given to applicants that are enrolled in a state approved transition to teaching program or that are eligible for an Emergency Permit in Language Arts assuming the prerequisite Language Arts skills are possessed.  Tecumseh Junior High School is located in Lafayette Indiana about one hour north of downtown Indianapolis and 2 hours south of downtown Chicago along Interstate 65.  Lafayette boasts one of the strongest economies and one of the world's great institutions of higher learning, Purdue University, making Lafayette one of the most desirable places to live in Indiana.  The LSC offers a competitive salary and one of the richest benefit packages in the state.  Candidates currently on a certified contract with the Lafayette School Corporation should complete an INTERNAL application through Applitrack by Friday, March 13.  All other candidates should complete an EXTERNAL application through Applitrack.
