Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manages a regional team of supervisors and crews to ensure the best compliment of equipment and labor resources to safely achieve profit goals while minimizing costs.
Maintains and builds relationships with customers to ensure commitments are met while promoting smart growth.
Recruits talent by promoting company culture, opportunities, and available compensation while building relationships based on honesty and trust.
Manages employee performance through training, professional development, evaluation, and corrective action process.
Innovates work processes to increase work productivity and revenue while minimizing costs.
Stays up to date on industry advancements, techniques, and best management practices through participation in industry associations and events.
Ensures completion of all required training.
Develops work plans and cost estimates for bid and lump sum projects.
Forecasts equipment needs, verifies proper operation, ensures maintenance is performed on schedule, and makes sure utilization is maximized.
Manages and lead storm restoration response for both local and nationwide events.
Weekly meeting with billing department to assure billing accuracy, lower the number of Write-downs, and continuing improvement of aging AR’s. (Accounts Receivable)
Read and understand all contracts to know and understand the contract guidelines.
Review and approve credit card receipts from all employees under supervision.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Knowledge and understanding of all relevant safety practices, protocols, and standards
Demonstrated experience and skills in all aspects of utility line clearance qualified tree work to include climbing, bucket, and mechanical trimming across utility distribution and transmission assets.
Must have 7-years or more experience as a General Foreman with progressive experience managing crew resources for both routine and storm operations, including budget management
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Etc.) and mobile and web-based applications.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
Great interpersonal communication skills across all levels of interaction to include property owners, customers, crews, and company personnel
Effective leadership skills to manage a diverse group of employees for safety, performance, growth, and productivity.
Demonstrated experience with unit and lump sum vegetation management projects to include bidding of work, determination of resources needed, obtaining crew personnel and equipment, customer communication, and the tracking of financials to meet profit goals.
Utility vegetation management certifications (i.e. ISA Certified Arborist, TCIA CTSP, etc.) preferred
CDL Class A licensed or able to get within 6-months preferred
Working Conditions
Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time.
Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
Must be able to work with hands above your head for extended periods of time.
Must be able to walk, climb and work from various heights. Perform tree trimming work in uneven, slippery and unfavorable weather conditions.
