Overview:
The Fusion Church Pastoral Residency (FCPR) exists to raise up the next generation of leaders in the New Testament church. Often, young men who feel called to vocational ministry face certain barriers to entry; in particular, they lack professional experience, formal theological training, and contextual understanding of ministry life. This program aims to provide each of these essentials in a gracious, intentional environment so that qualified men will be equipped to serve the Bride of Christ both within and outside of our four walls. At Fusion Church, our mission is to “Reach the Seeker, Strengthen the Servant, and Launch the Saint.” Through our residency program, we therefore aim to reach those seeking to serve the Lord in full-time ministry, to strengthen them through education and training, and to launch them into the world to shepherd God’s people.
Details:
This opportunity is designed for those passionate for the Word of God and eager to utilize their spiritual gifts in service to the local church. Fusion Church of Madison desires to make disciples in our local communities and the nations abroad. We are committed to these core values: God Dependency, Real Relationships, Generous Living, Family Focus, and Kingdom Expansion. Through this program, this DNA will be reduplicated in our residents. Ideal residents will be those with an undergraduate education who are considering formal seminary training. Students in the FCPR can select the institution through whom they will pursue graduate studies. Upon acceptance, Fusion Church will aid in the resident’s theological formation by funding tuition for graduate-level coursework up to $9,000/year. Fusion Church will also aid in ministerial formation by providing an opportunity to serve alongside the pastoral staff in a particular ministry, such as Student Ministry, Kids Ministry, Senior Adult Ministry, Executive/Administrative Ministry, Church Planting, etc. The program can be tailored to fit the resident’s discerned calling in ministry.
