Agropur is seeking a Journeyman Electrician at our Truro, NS location.

Starting wage of $39.14/hour

Tools provided
84 hours Bi-weekly (twelve-hour shifts, 7am to 7pm & 7pm to 7am in rotation, Pitman/Continental Schedule)

What you will take ownership of on a daily basis:

Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive electrical maintenance on industrial equipment
Troubleshoot electrical, control, and automation issues impacting production and reliability
Diagnose and resolve faults in PLC-controlled systems
Support equipment uptime through rapid response to breakdowns and root cause analysis
Work safely on high-voltage systems (up to 600V)
Collaborate with other trades (mechanical, refrigeration, etc.) as required
Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements
Work independently when required, while remaining an integrated member of the maintenance team
Operation/maintenance of Ammonia Refrigeration System, Boiler, Air Compressors, HVAC etc.

The profile that can truly own the role:

Journeyman Industrial Electrician license (Red Seal / Interprovincial preferred)
Experience working with PLCs and VFDs
Strong troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment
