    The following position is available for the 2026-2027 school year:

    Position: Middle School Language Arts Teacher
    Location: Bellmont Middle School

    Qualifications:
    Instructional Skills

    • Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices in reading, and writing for grades 6�8.
    • Ability to design targeted intervention plans aligned with MTSS/RTI frameworks.
    • Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including students with IEPs, English learners, and those performing below grade level.

    Collaboration & Communication

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, special education staff, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
    • Strong communication skills for engaging with families regarding student progress, intervention plans, and support strategies.
    • Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation, progress monitoring data, and compliance with school or district policies.

    Professional Competencies

    • Demonstrated ability to build positive, supportive relationships with middle-school�aged students.
    • Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple intervention groups and maintaining detailed student records.

    Commitment to fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented learning environment that supports student confidence and achievement.

    Requirements:

    Education & Certification

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
    • Valid state teaching license with appropriate endorsements in Special Education, Reading, or Intervention Services (as applicable).
    • Evidence of ongoing professional learning in instructional strategies, intervention frameworks, or adolescent development.

    Professional Experience is preferred but not required

    • Demonstrated experience working with middle school students in both individual and small-group instructional settings.
    • Proven success implementing research-based intervention programs designed to support students with academic, behavioral, and executive functioning needs.

    Experience analyzing student performance data to identify learning gaps, monitor progress, and adjust instruction accordingly.
