FLSmidth Mongolia Service Center is seeking a detail-oriented Workshop Planner & Cost Estimator. Reporting directly to the Service Center Manager and working under the guidance of the Senior Planner, this role is responsible for bridging the gap between engineering drawings and shop floor execution.

The successful candidate will perform precise material and labor estimations and coordinate production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality fabrications and services.

Your responsibilities

• Control and adhere to production schedules, coordinating closely with the related team to meet strict deadlines.
• Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved parts and consumables for all active work orders.
• Monitor service center capacity and provide daily progress updates to the Senior Planner to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
• Ensure optimal conditions for production equipment by coordinating necessary maintenance or technical support.
• Perform detailed calculations of raw materials, hardware, and labor hours for new fabrication and service requests.
• Prepare accurate cost estimations for customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for final review by the Senior Planner.
• Liaise with procurement and external vendors to obtain competitive pricing for specialized components and raw materials.
• Maintain a proactive commitment to promoting a culture of personal and team safety
• Other tasks as assigned to support the Service Center operations

What you bring

• A Degree or Diploma in Finance, Industrial Planning, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in planning and cost estimation within a manufacturing or service center environment is a distinct advantage.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel for cost modeling and data tracking; experience with ERP systems and MS Project is a plus
• High level of precision in performing material take-offs and calculating labor man-hours with a focus on mathematical accuracy.
• The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
