Pay Range: $75,211.00 - $93,444.00 per year

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.



Job Overview:



The Social Worker LCSW provides direct clinical services in our behavioral health adult outpatient program, including clinical assessments, psychological testing, psychiatric evaluation, medication management and a variety of psychotherapy groups to adults with Serious Mental Illness SMI, including those with a co-occurring substance-use diagnosis in our Adult Outpatient department.



 



Qualifications:



Required:




  • Master's Degree in Social Work



 



Preferred:




  • Two years of LCSW experience

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish



 



 Certifications and Licenses Required:




  • NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)



 



Essential Functions:




  • Mentors and clinically supervise LSWs and students, as per license requirements and field instructions

  • Completes the initial and subsequently revised treatment plans according to specified inpatient/outpatient standards

  • Interprets nature of illness and prescribed course of treatment to patients/families, and communicates family issues to other staff members, as necessary

  • Analyzes data from standard instruments, and modified treatment approaches and techniques accordingly

  • Utilizes assessment data to formulate comprehensive treatment plans for patient/families according to inpatient standards

  • Documents, according to established standards, relevant data regarding assessment, treatments, outcomes, and discharge planning, after -care

  • Plans and implements relevant in-service training programs which are geared toward improving staff assessment and treatment practices to meet changing demands of payors, consumers, and regulatory standards

  • Develops, as requested, specialized programs, which are clinically relevant and supported by the outside payors

  • Develops and delivers professional continuing education seminars and workshops to the public and mental health community, when requested

  • Services as a resource and model to staff in working with outside agencies, conducting groups and holding family conferences

  • Plans with the program director relevant in-service for all personnel assigned to the area that are geared toward maximizing a short length of stay and enhancing patient programming

  • Develops and delivers professional continuing education to patient families

  • Participates in the development of discharge plans at treatment team meetings

  • Collaborates with other hospital programs and community agencies with which patients and families are involved

  • As a member of the multidisciplinary team, assists in developing discharge plans

  • Collaborates with other hospital programs and community agencies with which patients and families are involved, in order to support the discharge plans

  • Assesses patient needs through clinical interview, chart/history review, psychological testing or psycho-social assessment data and other relevant data sources

  • Formulates and implements advanced forms of psycho-therapeutic interventions with patients and families which include, but are not limited to: cognitive behavioral interventions, individual, marital, parental, family group therapies, which are geared toward achieving identified patient goals
