Salary: The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $82,000

Position Summary
The Transfer Degree Planning Specialist serves
as a key member of TADA, providing high-level technical and strategic expertise
to enhance the student transfer experience. The role involves overseeing
transfer degree planning initiatives, managing degree audit systems, and
collaborating with internal stakeholders, system offices, and external partners
to advance institutional goals related to student success.
Duties & Responsibilities
to the success of TADA and university-wide initiatives by aligning work
with institutional and unit-level strategic goals.
oversight and project management for transfer degree planning initiatives
in collaboration with campus units and leadership in the Office of the
Senior Vice Provost for Academic Programs, Student Success, and
Effectiveness (SVPAPSSE).
• Support
a seamless transfer experience by collaborating with campus units, the
Office of Student Systems Services (OSSS), the University of Illinois
System, and external transfer partners.
campus partners on academic policies and regulations that impact degree
planning tools and related data systems
as the primary contact for the university’s degree audit and transfer
articulation platform (uAchieve) and related tools.
data accurately within uAchieve to support degree planning.
Technology Services (AITS) on system enhancements, automation, testing, and
troubleshooting.
with software vendors on system implementation, upgrades, and feature
development.
technical assistance and timely issue resolution for end-users of degree
planning tools.
interpret, and analyze complex datasets using business intelligence tools;
create actionable reports for internal and external stakeholders.
compliance with FERPA and institutional data privacy standards when
handling student records.
current with emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve
transfer pathways and student success.
other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree required.
- At least three years of experience in higher education, curriculum planning, or student systems technology.
- Knowledge and understanding of academic structures, university policies, and transfer practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Working knowledge of web content management systems and reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects, MS Access, SQL).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using and writing rules within degree audit and transfer articulation applications (e.g., uAchieve, DegreeWorks, Stellic).
- Experience using relational databases and query development. Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Experience building web content through authoring or content management tools.
