SUMMARY
The Woodbridge School District, a PK-6 school district of approximately 165 permanent active employees and approximately 875 students, is in need of substitute school nurses to support and provide direct substitute school nursing services as a substitute member of the nursing team at Beecher Road School. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct school nursing services in adherence with federal and state statutes, health and safety regulations, and district policies and procedures.
• Provides school nursing services for district students, employees, and visitors, including those related to required health assessments and immunizations.
• Collaborates with district administrators, school staff, District Medical Advisor, and local health department in relation to health needs of the district, its students, and its staff.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Required:

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Connecticut, with up-to-date CPR certification
• Registered Nurse must have the equivalent of at least one year of full time employment as an RN within the last 5 years

Preferred:

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing
• School health services or pediatric experience preferred

SALARY AND BENEFITS
