This position is non-exempt and has no supervisory responsibilities.rnSpecific duties are:rnrnProvides care and reports progress on a daily basis and as required by the PCSPrnAttend to the personal needs of each client in a timely and efficient manner. Such duties include: feeding, restroom needs, dressing, medication administration, and first aid needs.rnAssist clients with meal planning, food purchases, and meal preparationrnAssist clients in maintaining a healthy living environment by following processes in place for any facility or vehicle maintenance and addressing safety concernsrnAssists with and/or monitors all housekeeping tasks in client residencesrnTransportation of clients via motor vehicle or assists with arranging public transportation.rnAssist clients to develop their social and communication skills while encouraging community integration.rnConstructively communicate inter-departmentally to ensure service delivery to clients.rnParticipates as an active and contributing member of client's Person-Centered Support Plan team.rnrn rnQUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCErnRequired: High School Diploma or GED or Bronze Level, WORKready CertificationrnPreferred: One year of experience in the IDD field.rnCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSrnRequired: Valid and Current Driver's LicensernPreferred: n/arnCOMMUNICATIONrnAbility to partner with various levels of staff and persons served. Have a moderate level of written and oral communication skills.rn rnVARIETY WORK LOCATIONS AND HOURSrnDirect Support Professionals work within various capacities, locations and hours of the dayrnrnrnResidential DSPrnrnrnProvides care to individuals within a home like environment. Employees schedules can be day hours, nighttime (awake) hours, weekdays and/or weekends. 24/7. Full time (30 or more hours a week) or part time (17.5 hours a week) schedules are available.rnrnrnrnrnDay Services DSPrnrnrnAdult Life Skills Facility: Provides care for people we serve in a group setting. Employee schedules are weekdays and daytime hours. These employees do not work on TECH, Inc. observed holidays.rnrnrnWork Center Facility: Provides work opportunities and assistance in a group setting. Employee schedules are weekdays and daytime hours. These employees do not work on TECH, Inc. observed holidays.rnrnrnrnArt Studio DSPrnrnProvides care for people we serve within our art studio. Employee schedules are weekdays and daytime hours. These employees do not work on TECH, Inc. observed holidays. For this position, applicants would need to provide a portfolio of art and can produce art of many medias, as well as coach and inspire others.rnrnrnrnWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and to inside wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals as used in cleaning, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
