  • Develop, analyze, review, and approve structural designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Apply expertise in foundations, steel structures, concrete design, and modularized systems
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client specifications (CSA, CISC, NBC, provincial codes; experience with US or Australian codes and standards considered an asset)
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure structural designs are fully integrated with process, piping, electrical, and mechanical disciplines
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers, supporting technical development and knowledge sharing
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Manage civil/structural deliverables, schedules, and budgets to support on-time and on-budget project execution
  • Support project bidding, procurement, and construction phases with technical input and evaluations
  • Conduct design reviews, constructability assessments, and risk analyses to proactively identify and mitigate issues
Construction & Field Support
  • Perform site assessments and inspections as required
  • Provide engineering support during construction, responding to field queries and resolving technical challenges
  • Ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with safety and quality standards
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Promote best practices in engineering quality control and continuous improvement
