As a Senior Software Engineer – Infosec - Engineering, you will play a critical role in building, securing, and maintaining engineering solutions that support the organization’s global information security objectives. You will design and deploy monitoring, compliance, and threat detection capabilities that enable continuous assurance and visibility across our tech landscape. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our security tooling, telemetry, and alerting systems are resilient, scalable, and support a proactive risk posture.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery and Execution
- Design, build, and deploy robust solutions for continuous monitoring, telemetry, and anomaly detection in cloud and hybrid environments
- Develop custom tools, automation scripts, and dashboards that support InfoSec operations, compliance testing, and system assurance
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and translate them into secure and scalable solutions.
- Implement rule-based alerting and reports to detect and track control failures and potential security incidents.
- Conduct design and code reviews with a focus on secure coding practices and operational readiness
- Drive CI/CD practices to automate testing, integration, and deployment of InfoSec tools and capabilities
Support and Enablement
- Support the adoption of logging and telemetry platforms across multiple business units and technical stacks
- Maintain engineering documentation, SOPs, and playbooks for troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and audit readiness
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of secure software engineering and continuous improvement
- Work closely with global security and governance teams to align development with compliance mandates and frameworks
- Provide on-call support for security tooling incidents or escalations as needed
Requirements
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, GCIH, CEH, or BICSI-RITPM
Required Experience
- 4-7 years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, or a related technical role
- Experience in the retail, e-commerce, or GCCs is an added advantage
- Demonstrated experience in analysing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven, GitHub Actions) Essential skills
- Proficiency in developing scalable engineering solutions in InfoSec or infrastructure monitoring
- Expertise in Python (preferred), Java, or Go for building automation, tooling, or platform services
- Hands-on experience with tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Kibana, or SOAR platforms
- Deep understanding of secure software development principles and InfoSec best practices
