Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with all personnel to facilitate the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician
  • Maintains a pleasant and friendly attitude with patients and tries to answer their questions to the best of their ability
  • Interacts with nursing personnel in the completion of laboratory requisitions and the charting
  • Assists patients and physicians in acquiring correct information about preparation for testing
  • Schedules patients for testing


Qualifications:
  • Requires the ability to read well enough to follow instructions, write legibly, have good communication skills and a moderate degree of manual dexterity
  • Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent
  • Requires completion of a Medical Assistant training program or a certification in Medical Assisting
  • Requires BLS certification
