About the Role:
The Head of Enterprise Architecture & Data Management is a senior technology leader responsible for defining and governing Prosperity’s enterprise architecture, data strategy, and foundational technology capabilities. This role provides strategic oversight of enterprise architecture standards, data management and governance, database administration, enterprise release management, and the AI engineering function.

Partnering closely with the CTO, CIO peers, Product, Distribution, Operations, Finance, and Compliance leaders, this role ensures technology decisions align with business strategy, regulatory expectations, and long-term transformation goals. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in enterprise architecture and data leadership within life insurance and annuities, along with the ability to influence, govern, and execute across a complex organization.

What You’ll Do:

Enterprise Architecture & Technology Standards

  • Define, maintain, and govern enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and technology patterns across the organization
  • Establish architectural principles to guide system design, modernization, and integration decisions
  • Lead software and platform selection efforts, including vendor evaluation, fit-gap analysis, and architecture review
  • Ensure architectural consistency and scalability across retail, product, life insurance, and annuity platforms

API, Integration & Platform Strategy

  • Own Prosperity’s enterprise API and integration strategy
  • Design and oversee API-driven ecosystems that enable interoperability across digital, product, service, and distribution platforms
  • Partner with product and delivery teams to ensure integrations align with enterprise standards and future-state architecture

Data Management, Governance & Database Administration

  • Own Prosperity’s enterprise API and integration strategy
  • Oversee enterprise data management functions, including data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data management
  • Ensure data is treated as a strategic enterprise asset supporting analytics, reporting, and AI-driven capabilities
  • Direct database administration teams to ensure availability, performance, resiliency, and security of structured and unstructured data
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and information security requirements related to data management

Release Management & Change Governance

  • Lead enterprise release management, including deployment coordination, versioning, and environment management
  • Establish disciplined release and change governance practices across platforms and environments
  • Partner with delivery, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure production readiness and operational stability

AI Engineering & Emerging Technology Enablement

  • Build, lead, and develop a new AI Engineering team to support advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled business capabilities
  • Guide the application of AI/ML, data pipelines, and MLOps practices across the enterprise
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases

Strategic Partnership & Leadership

  • Partner with the CTO and senior leaders to align technology architecture and data strategy with enterprise priorities
  • Support large-scale transformation initiatives, including cloud migrations, legacy modernization, and system integrations
  • Communicate architectural decisions, technology roadmaps, risks, and progress to executive leadership
  • Develop, mentor, and retain high-performing technical leaders across architecture, data, and AI disciplines

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, data management, or large-scale technology leadership
  • Experience within the life insurance and annuities industry
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise modernization and complex, multi-platform ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), integration tools, and enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Proven experience leading data governance, database administration, and enterprise data programs
  • Experience building and managing high-performing technical teams, including AI or advanced analytics functions
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong strategic planning and decision-making capabilities in regulated environments
  • Ability to lead remotely and travel for business as needed
