- Credential Required: Applicants must hold a valid California Teaching Credential in Chemistry.
- English Learner Authorization: Applicants must also hold a valid English Learner Authorization such as a CLAD, ELA1, ELAM, ELAS, ELAE, or similar authorization for integrated English Language Development instruction to English Learners.
- Demonstrates oral and written proficiency in English and the target language.
- Demonstrates an understanding of culture and history of peoples and countries of the target language.
- Understands and supports the goals of the dual language immersion program: (1) bilingualism and biliteracy, (2) academic achievement, (3) sociocultural competence.
