ROCS Local Market Store Associate
This position requires repetitive work that must be done accurately and in a timely manner. Associates should have a keen eye and good physical and mental stamina. Your primary tasks will be to assist customers with their purchases in a prompt, friendly manner while maintaining a clean and organized store.
Primary Functions:
- Greet customers and offer friendly, helpful service
- Represent the company with a smile with a neat and clean appearance
- Be aware of surroundings, observe customer traffic, follow security procedures
- Check out customer purchases quickly and accurately, using the correct prices and discounts
- Use care when handling money, receive payments in full, and give accurate change
- Call for backup and/ or utilize self-checkout as needed to minimize customer wait times
- Take initiative to stock, front face, clean, dust, and organize between customers – Use slow times effectively
- Be reliable and punctual. Pick up extra open shifts when able
- Communicate clearly to customers about Promotions and Rewards Cards
- Inspects restrooms throughout shift to ensure cleanliness and company standards.
- Advises management of any maintenance issues.
- Completes required shift tasks
- Ability to stand for an entire shift.
- Ensures management is aware of all sales, cash, or operating issues.
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Refer questions or problems to the appropriate manager promptly
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Manager and Supervisor
