Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Environmental Due Diligence team in GTA. The role reports to the Operations Manager.

Role Overview

The Project Technologist, Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation (EDR), supports a wide range of environmental assessment and remediation projects related to property transactions, redevelopment, and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with Project Managers and senior technical staff to deliver Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, support Record of Site Condition (RSC) work, and assist with remediation and monitoring programs across Ontario.

Your Role and Action

  • Support and perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with CSA Standards and Ontario Regulation 153/04
  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and soil vapour sampling, groundwater monitoring, and field data collection activities
  • Assist with Record of Site Condition (RSC)‑related activities, including site investigations, documentation, and supporting technical deliverables
  • Monitor and support remediation activities, including underground storage tank (UST) removals and remedial excavations
  • Review historical, regulatory, and site‑specific information (e.g., aerial photographs, drawings, and records)
  • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, figures, tables, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, site representatives, and internal project teams
  • Follow established health, safety, and quality procedures during field and office work

  • Degree or diploma in a related discipline, preferably Environmental Science, Engineering, or a similar field
  • Professional designation (or working toward), such as P.Eng. or P.Geo., considered an asset
  • Experience in environmental consulting or a related technical role is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04 and CSA Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessment Standards
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a personal vehicle (work‑related travel expenses reimbursed)
  • Willingness to travel within the Greater Toronto Area, with occasional travel elsewhere in Ontario
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours on an as‑needed basis (evenings or weekends)
